WHEREAS the Federal Government has released new, mandatory standards for all railroad crossings;

AND WHEREAS economic conditions foresee an increase in railway traffic going through communities:

THEREFOREBE IT RESOLVED that the NCLGA and UBCM lobby the Federal Government to provide funding opportunities that will allow communities to upgrade the crossings to meet their new, required standards.
