Details

WHEREAS local governments are faced with serious and far-reaching difficulties with respect to prolific and high-risk offenders and gang-related activity;

AND WHEREAS prolific and high-risk offenders and gang-related activity are responsible for approximately 80% of crimes committed in our communities, causing significant burdens on local government and RCMP resources:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the NCLGA and UBCM lobby the Provincial and Federal governments to endorse and support GPS tracking of prolific and repeat offenders who are considered risks to their communities.
