2024 NCLGA AGM & CONVENTION

 

The North Central Local Government Association and the communities of the Town of Smithers, District of Houston and Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako will be co-hosting the NCLGA's Annual General Meeting and Convention in Smithers, from May 13-16, 2024.

Event Location: The New Arena, 4202 3rd Avenue, Smithers, BC.

Media Package and Application

All media representatives seeking access to the NCLGA Annual General Meeting and Convention must apply for accreditation in advance. Accreditation forms (See attachment A in Package) must be submitted by May 13, 2024 to admin@nclga.ca. Approved media personnel will receive confirmation via email.

The 2024 North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) Convention takes place in Smithers from Monday, May 13 to Thursday, May 16, 2024.  This event is co-hosted by NCLGA, and the communities of the Town of Smithers, District of Houston and Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. Approximately 250 delegates from across North Central BC are expected to attend the Convention, making this a great opportunity to showcase your organization.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

2025 NCLGA AGM and Convention

Date to Be Determined for May 2025 – Co-hosted by the City of Prince Rupert, District of Port Edward, and the North Coast Regional District.

The 2025 NCLGA AGM and Convention will be in May 2025 in the Prince Rupert area. Details will be shared on the NCLGA AGM website page as planning develops.

 

We are currently accepting community BID proposals for the 2026 NCLGA AGM and Convention.

Hosting the AGM and Convention not only provides significant economic benefits, but it gives communities the opportunity to help set the agenda for the event.

From sessions and speakers to official tours, the host community has significant input into specific programming over the course of the event. Hosting the convention also offers an opportunity to showcase the community and show off what makes it a great place to live, work, and invest. 

The NCLGA AGM and Convention is a fantastic event and we encourage your community to consider hosting north central BC’s top decision makers!
