This is my first term as an Area Director and NCLGA Representative. Soon after immigrating from Europe in 2010 with my family, we became newly minted Canadian citizens. Grateful for the warm welcome we received, my wife and I began volunteering in the community. We both serve with the Interlakes Volunteer Fire Department, where I am involved with recruit training. After a few years, representing my community as an Area Director at the Cariboo Regional District felt like the natural next step. I bring my experience as an engineer and managing director of an industrial company to the table.
The Board of Directors oversees 9 committees (see figure below), which are comprised of member elected officials.
