Julia Nelson
Director at Large

Julia is a dedicated and community-minded leader who has proudly served as a Councilor for the District of Chetwynd since 2022. She first moved to Chetwynd in 2006, and has since made it home with her three wonderful children. Originally from Malcolm Island, Julia has found Chetwynd to be an exceptional place to raise a family and grow her career.

A licensed Realtor since 2012, Julia is passionate about her work and takes pride in serving as an ambassador for the region. She warmly welcomes new residents and clients, sharing her deep knowledge and love for the community.

Julia is an active volunteer and currently serves as a Director on several local boards, including the Chetwynd Public Library, NDIT Northeast Regional Advisory Committee (NE RAC), Chetwynd Community Arts Council, Chetwynd Outdoors Society, and the Tree Light-Up Committee. She is also a Past President of the Chetwynd Rotary Club and has been involved in coaching youth sports over the years.

With a strong appreciation for the arts, music, fitness, hiking, cross-country skiing, travel, and civic engagement, Julia brings a well-rounded and enthusiastic approach to her work. Her inclusive and approachable nature makes her a strong advocate for the people she serves. Julia’s commitment to community and collaboration will make her a valuable addition to the NCLGA board.
